Guys: I just returned home from a pike fishing trip in Northern Ontario. The weed cover was exceptionally dense and all I had on hand were some Johnson Silver Minnow spoons. This spoon has good action when clean, but add a trailer and the action quickly dies. My question is does the Weedless Doctor Spoon have enough action to also fish with a plastic trailer? I would be interested in the larger sizes suitable for trophy pike fishing applications.
